Marcia Hammond is a renowned Vermont-based textile and fine artist known for her vibrant, handwoven chenille garments, hand-painted silk scarves (including poetry scarves), and landscape/still-life oil and watercolor paintings. A fourth-generation designer, she “paints with fibers,” blending traditional weaving with modern artistry, and owns Collective-the art of craft in Woodstock, VT, showcasing her creations and other crafts. She's exhibited nationally, including at the Smithsonian, and serves as a juror for major craft shows, establishing herself as a significant figure in American craft.
