Marcia Hammond’s art is deeply rooted in nature, featuring bold colors and patterns reminiscent of Vermont’s seasons and landscapes.
Hammond is a renowned Vermont-based textile and fine artist known for her vibrant, handwoven chenille garments, hand-painted silk scarves and landscape/still-life oil and watercolor paintings. A fourth-generation designer, she “paints with fibers,” blending traditional weaving with modern artistry, and founded the Collective-the art of craft in Woodstock, VT. She's exhibited nationally, including at the Smithsonian, and has served on the Vermont Crafts Council board.
This exhibition will begin with an Opening Reception on Saturday, Feb 21st, from 3-5pm and end on April 6th, 2026
